“It went above my expectations, the guild was very good, we had unexpected cancelations on booked trips that she was able to navigate around and get us where we needed to be. The food good and rooms were nice. Switzerland rocks!

“Vacations By Rail did really well in showing us the many facets the Scottish Highlands have to offer. The tour guide was absolutely fabulous and went out of his way to make sure we all had a great time. Only complaint is I didn't want to leave.

“This was a wonderful vacation. When I first booked this vacation, I did not know it was "on our own". As three elderly ladies we were more than a little nervous. Gabrielle did a wonderful job of helping me through all of the details as did Bridget. The hotels were nice and clean and well located and the train station was never very far away. The tours provided by the tour were excellent and the timing of the train rides perfect. All of the connections were seamless and the tour guides and drivers were all exceptional. I recommend this company, and this tour if you want to be on your own but have all the details, ie hotels, train tickets, transfers, taken care of.
